Picture Perfect

After a beautiful and fun-filled week in Star Valley Wyoming, we loaded up our van and said goodbye to our families, the 23 hour trek back to the mid-west seemed daunting and it's never easy to say good bye. Then something Allison said caught my attention,  "What could be more picture perfect?"  "An American Family; A Doctor, his pregnant wife, their 4 children, and a Golden Retriever all loaded up in a mini van headed across  the country.  We did make quite a site. :) Most I'm sure would say we were crazy, but the adventure was well worth it. It has been over a  year since we've been home and it sure felt good to sit and visit with loved ones, play games, roast marshmallows, eat lots of popsicles, ride horses, catch fish, 4-wheeler rides, a hike up Swift Creek, and soak in the beauty all around us. These are the moments in our lives that take our breath away and remind of us of how dear our families are and how grateful we will be to head back West once our adventure here comes to a close.

After taking off on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. we made it back safely to Quincy on Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m.. We were exhausted. It was a whirlwind of rest stops, fruit snacks, sunflower seeds, movies and taking turns driving with Jonathan that kept us going. The kids opened their eyes as we pulled into our garage. As you can imagine, they were thrilled to finally get out of the car. :)

We are grateful for the time we had with our loved ones. We miss you more than words can describe!

Here are some highlights of our trip. With 144 pictures, I still didn't get everyone in the pictures...

Pure exhaustion after a week of fun. Sophi decided to take a nap on the front porch.

The Wilford Boys

Chase loved every second in the saddle

Kian did too!

I am so glad you were able to visit with your family. What a loooong car ride!!! I guess it proves how much one will do to be around the ones they love. You both are amazing for taking on such a great adventure!
