The kids have always loved feeding the ducks and it was Kian's first time.
It was so refreshing to be together and enjoy the sunshine.
Of course you can never bring too much bread and snacks to feed these ravenous birds (who act like they are starving, but in reality, probably down a few loaves of bread a day. :)
It was amusing to watch the kids kneeling in "poop" (yuck) and dangling over the edge of the little lake talking to the ducks. I have always wondered if I would have the courage to dive in after them if they fell in...(it's only knee deep, but pretty gross water.)
Chase really wanted to go fishing and searched for a stick long enough to spear one, but had no luck. Kaidence was terrified by the bees buzzing around and the ducks walking too close to her. Sophia had a little nap while we walked along the path and woke up just in time to throw her snacks to the ducks. Kian, was his happy, smiley self, along for the ride and amused by the excitement all around him.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch together and played on the toys.
I love watching the kids play. It is fun to see them interact with each other. Kaidence and Chase are so protective of Sophia. They pick her up and pack her around, instructing her which slides to go on and when she's in danger. :) Really, what would I do without all the help. :)
