These are the days...

Never to be forgotten.
Those who know me well, know that I am a very sentimental person. I have a hard time facing the future because I mourn over the fact that yesterday is gone...did I really live every moment, and cherish every second and opportunity that came my way??? Well, that is where guilt sets in for me as a mother, because try as I may, I will still be practicing on my children...I think I've been doing that A LOT lately! BUT there is hope smiling before me because this past week has been filled with many smiles, firsts, remember whens, and I can't wait to...moments.
I've been praying for help to overcome this sentimental state of mind and let my children grow up and in doing so I DISCOVERED an important truth that has helped me snap out of sentimental yesterdays and JUMP back into the HERE and NOW. THE FACT IS....I CAN ENJOY these milestone moments, thoroughly and completely. IN FACT, the more I immerse myself in their joy and excitement the easier it has been to move on and to open up new chapters with them.
Today Chase opened a new chapter and joined the ranks at Miss Lesly's Preschool. He had a wonderful day! It is a class of 7 boys and BOY, Miss Lesly will have many adventures I can bet. :) I can't wait to hear his stories and enjoy this year with him.
Congratulations CHASE. PRESCHOOL ROCKS!

You and I are cut from the same cloth when it comes to being sentimental. I love your insight and wisdom. What a happy day for Chase! Oh, and the bikes are the bomb! We've loved biking with Tom, even though I'm the mother hollering "get to the side Tom!" any time a car is coming. :-)
