Our 6 Year old Chase

Birthdays are supposed to be magical. Remember the feeling you had as a kid when the whole world revolved around YOU, or at least you thought it did on that special day?
Well, Chase has been talking about his birthday and counting down the days for a long time.  In fact, Kaidence told me on many occasions that she was tired of hearing about it.  I think we were all relieved when His day arrived. Chase willingly went to bed early the night before while the girls and I stayed up and decorated the house in his honor.  He was so excited that I was surprised he slept until bright and early 6:30 a.m.
What a day Chase had.
We had our traditional Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast and Chase blew out a candle of course.
He opened some gifts: Checkers from Kaidence, a Puzzle from Sophia and Glow Stars for his room from Kian.  He was walking on clouds all day and I got to enjoy his smiling face and hugs of thanks all day. He got spoiled, but at least, he was grateful to be spoiled. :)

He waited patiently for a package to arrive from Grandma and Grandpa Wilford. He had been stocking the mail man for days, so when it arrived in the afternoon, boy did he smile.

Chase took a special bubble bath by candle light listening to his favorite song "Fire flies" seriously. :)
He even put on some cologne so he would smell "extra good" and he sure did.  Daddy got home just in time to take him out to lunch and that was a really special treat.

The rest of the evening, we enjoyed family time. Chase helped me make his favorite: Chicken Enchiladas with Chips and rice and after dinner he opened the Big Surprise .....the basket ball stand and basketball.  I didn't realize how good Chase had become at dribbling the ball. His skills are sure to keep improving with Kian around who is constantly trying to steal the ball from his big brother.

As the sun went down, Chase blew the candles out on his "angry bird" birthday cake.  It was devoured quickly but the memory of making it will last and that is my favorite part.

Happy Birthday to the Boy with Big Brown Eyes
A tender Heart
A mischievous Smile
Loud Laughter
and our son who loves to draw pictures for his Daddy
and always takes time to pick a flower
for his Mom!

Chase discovered how much fun it is to play checkers and he's pretty good too!

Handsome Yes!

After Kaidence got a bubble bath by candlelight for her birthday this year,
Chase was determined to have his own

Happy Birthday Chase!
WE LOVE YOU!!!
