Visitors
Yeah!
The last 10 days have been fun for our family. Aunt Alli came to visit us for 5 days and the day after she left, Grandpa and Grandma Wilford joined us for another 5 days. It was wonderful! We showed them the sights of Quincy and we took Allison on a temple trip to Nauvoo. The kids loved every minute of attention and we were all spoiled rotten, even the dog. :)
At Quincy's expense, we took a trip down memory lane when as a senior in high school I worked as a CRT student for my future parent-in-laws. You guessed it, we neutered Quincy. Yes! In our Kitchen, where else? :) Doc did a wonderful job and we were all pretty good assistants. Quincy is feeling much better these days, but it still wearing an awkward cone around his neck and finds himself in some funny predicaments around the house. Hopefully, we can take it off soon. He'll feel like a new dog for more than one reason. :) :) (Just imagine all the questions the kids asked about why he had to have surgery.)
Like always, Grandma Lori spoiled us with her cooking and stocked us up on some cupcakes and muffins. Delicious! She brought some beautiful yarn and taught me a new skill, how to crochet headbands. They are so cute. I can't wait to make more. She and the girls did crafts and had so much fun. I spent a lot of time being lazy and even got a few naps in which is a great thing when you are pregnant. Yes, baby Wilford # 5 is on it's way. We are all excited, especially Kaidence. A few weeks ago she asked me to pray for another baby and she said, "Can I listen to your prayer so that I know for sure you ask?" She didn't know at the time that we were already expecting, but for some reason, she always gets that vibe. She has been busy making lists of names and has concluded that it must be a girl because we can't think of any boy names. I'm pretty sure it is a girl too, and so far, I've always been right. We probably won't even need an ultra-sound, since mother instincts are right on, RIGHT? :) We'll see...
Besides a little "cold bug" that has circulated around the house, we are all pretty happy and sassy, a few of us, more than others. ;) We feel very blessed!
We enjoyed a nice Valentine's Day evening together as a family with a candlelight Lasagna dinner. We played bingo with fruit loops and a Valentine Matching game. The kids are easy to please. They love games. Kaidence and Chase have quite the stash of Valentine goodies and both had a great time at their class parties. We topped the night off with a yummy red velvet white chocolate cream cheese roll that I actually made myself. Jonathan said it tasted like a "Nothing Bundt Cake" (an amazing bakery in Las Vegas) so that was quite the compliment. (Maybe I discovered the secret to their ingredients).
Well, that is about all I have for now.
Thanks again to our wonderful visitors. We are so grateful for our wonderful families and we miss you all so much! WE are counting down the days until our summer vacation.
Love,
The Wilford Family and Counting....
