After being in Las Vegas for the past 4 years, we've grown accustomed to the fact that in December, the leaves are still falling off trees, a jacket is warm enough, and everyone is busily blowing up giant figurines in their tiny yards, instead of building snowmen. We've seen a few cold days and still bring on the hot chocolate every chance we get, but now and again, I still envision how beautiful it would be to see some snowflakes in the air or smell a wood burning stove.
After picking Jonathan up from the airport yesterday evening, (he had the opportunity to attend Alli's graduation from BYU-Idaho) we headed to Ethel M's to see the Christmas lights and to bring in the season. The kids had a pretty good time and enjoyed weaving around the trail of various cacti decked out in beautiful lights, intermixed with various blow-up figurines. It was quite a sight to behold. I decided that the desert really isn't too bad and that Christmas lights can make just about anything beautiful.
Kaidence loved the little Christmas trees and pink and blue lights the best.

Looks like you guys had so much fun, and I bet it's nice to be outside without the snow, but to be able to enjoy the Christmas lights as well:)
