2 Years Down!

Last Friday was the day we have been anticipating for a while, when Jonathan would burst through the door and announce that he is DONE....that is with the book-work side of Medical School. The last 2 weeks have been characteristic of previous block finals. Jonathan leaves early for school at 6 a.m., comes home for dinner around 5 and leaves about 6:30 p.m. to head back to the library to study until midnight, or until he can't keep his eyes open any longer. To say it has been a grueling schedule for Jonathan is putting it lightly, but he has endured and so have we. We are so thrilled that he will be starting rotations in July and have the opportunity to be on the job, white coat and all, following physicians around and learning the practical side of medicine. Jonathan can hardly wait. Until then, he will be studying night and day to prepare for the COMLEX Board Exam set for June 26th. The kids and I have strict orders to report to Star Valley for a months's vacation and I'm excited to see family and escape the heat, at least for a little while. :) So on Friday, we celebrated being together as a family and eating yummy ice cream at Cold Stone. Then, on Saturday evening Jonathan and I enjoyed a date at home while our kids spent some time at a babysitter. We made a yummy dinner and watched a movie. It was a great way to relax after some very busy and stressful weeks.
Here's to Jonathan and 2 years down!
