Chase and the Safe Side Super Chick

I discovered a wonderful resource at the library about stranger safety. I have and will continue to recommend this DVD to everyone who has children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. My kids have learned so much from it. It is called "Stranger Safety" and was created by Julie Clark (founder of The Baby Einstein Company) and John Walsh (host of America's Most Wanted). For more information go to http://www.thesafeside.com/ As you can see by the video, it is very engaging. :) Seriously though, besides Chase's fascination with the the Safe Side SuperChick, this DVD covers some very important information to keep your kids on the "safe side." Hope you enjoy Chase's groovin to the music video. (He's not completely a couch potato when he watches it either). Now you know what I'm talking about when I say that Chase has more than enough energy for all of us...and a little to spare.

Your blog is cute. You have a great family! For us, Iowa City is great. We have been surprised by the number of medical students and residents here. At church there are 40 children in nursery! I know that fact because I serve in one of them.

Kids say the funniest things...

November 18, 2013 Sophia says "This is the happiest lollipop I have ever licked." (Sophia turned 5 today). November 9, 2013 Kian says "Mom, my mouth is telling me it wants chocolate chips." October 5, 2012, Sophi says "Romney's our guy right?" (She's been hearing a lot about Mitt Romney lately) May 10, 2012 Sophi asks, "Mom, how did you turn smart?" March 15, 2012 At breakfast Sophia informed me that she is going to be a "Big Mama" like me when she grows up. That made me proud. :) January 15,2012...After watching my friend's baby for the afternoon, Kaidence made it pretty clear that I need to ask Heavenly Father for another baby and she insisted that she listen to my prayer tonight to make sure I ask. :) January 2012, Sophia convinced me to push her bed up against the wall and that night, Kaidence said, "I just know I'm going to wake up on the wrong side of the bed tomorrow." December 2011 Kaidence said, "Mom, I'm sure glad Heavenly Father picked you to be my mom, because he picked the right one." December 2011 Chase said, "Mom, I know this is a weird question, but does the tooth fairy believe in Jesus?" March 2011 Chase says to me one day, "Mom, did you you know that oatmeal sticks to you?" I called Sophia my little buddy the other day and she quickly repremanded me, "Mom, I'm not your buddy, I'm your Sophi." February 2011 Chase "Dad, there's something you don't know about me. I'm an artist." Kaidence "Mom, I've got 'duck bumps' isn't that what you call them?" (referring to goosebumps). Chase said, "Emily's sister said that I have to marry my best friend, so I'm going to marry Raegan." January 2011 Kaidence "I can't wait to go to Candyland." Sophia "I want a hot dog" (meaning an under dog on the swing) April 15, 2010 Kaidence and Chase had been fighting over a toy while I was on the phone...When I got off of the phone I asked them, "How should you have handled that?" Chase didn't skip a beat. He said, "in doing good to all men." March 21, 2010 I said "Chase you are such a good boy!" He replied, "No I'm not, I'm a coconut" Later in the day....Chase says "Look Mom, my forehead is blocking my eyes" and.... "Mom can we go to 'Chucky Cheesits'?" March 12, 2010 Kaidence: "Daddy is pretty strong. He could probably fight an adult." March 8, 2010 Kaidence: "I can't wait to have 'teeter totters' for dinner." (tater tots) February 28, 2010 Kaidence: "I like how you 'shrimped' my hair today" (I had gotten out the old 'crimping' iron and 'crimped' Kaidence hair)
