Last Day of School

I love the excitement of the last day of school when the smell of summer is at your fingertips. Popcicle sticks, endless blue skies, sunny days, swimming pools, swing sets, grass clippings, falling asleep to the sound of crickets, birds chirping in the morning, pancakes for breakfast, picnics, wet towels hanging out to dry, flowers to water, and adventures in the making.  It's a wonderful day when that school bell rings for the last time....
I was just as excited as Kaidence and Chase so I picked them up from school and surprised them with a picnic by the Mississippi river.  It was a beautiful day I hope they will remember.
