Thanksgiving with Aunt Amanda

As I reflect on the last few weeks of chaos, I can truly be thankful for the strength, the comfort, the prayers, and the listening ears of family and friends. Once again, we have felt the tender mercies of a loving Heavenly Father in our lives. We know He has blessed us!
As mentioned in earlier posts, Kian has been quite sick, but we are grateful to report that he is with each day, getting better and still has a hop in his every step and a smile to share.
It was such a blessing to have Amanda come visit us for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed her company and her help was much appreciated. I'm sure that it was not quite what she had in mind, but overall, we were able to celebrate together and enjoy one another. She put up with me talking about nails and even let me put some on her. She and Jonathan spent a lot of time getting our Christmas Tree all lit up and she spoiled us with some extra decorations and a yummy Chinese dinner. We enjoyed a beautiful visit to the Nauvoo temple and enjoyed a picnic and seeing some of the visitor sights. Thank you Amanda! We love you and are so grateful you could be our first guest in Quincy!
