Saturday has a nice ring to it. It's the day my kids long for all during the week when they can sleep in, watch a few cartoons while they drink hot chocolate and play until their hearts content. We do throw in a few chores here and there, but typically Saturday is a play day. It's that day of the week that is a catch all for me...laundry, grocery shopping, garage sales, ironing, getting ready for Sunday and all the other random things that fill in the gaps.
This past Saturday Jonathan took on the yard. With the help of everyone, he raked, cut branches off of trees and trimmed all the bushes. It looked wonderful when he was done. The kids had a blast playing in the leaves. It was a wonderful day that we topped off with a trip to the Edgewood Apple Orchard. There we enjoyed a tour about the makings of apple cider and delighted in fresh Apple cider slushies. The kids got their faces painted and enjoyed sampling their goodies.
