I love it when we see "River Valley Express" pulling into town. It means my wonderful sister and brother-in-law have once again made the trek to come see us with their kids in the sleeper and adventure on the horizon.
Marci and Eloy and the kids made it in Saturday evening and I picked them up at the truck stop just in time to attend a fun Valentine's Dance with us. We had a great babysitter lined up for all the kids and we enjoyed a fun dinner and dancing together. It was a memorable weekend and we enjoyed every minute. Eloy had to continue in route to California but returned Monday morning in time to join us for a day at the Lied's Children's Museum where the kids played and we chased them around from exhibit to exhibit. Needless to say, we were all happily exhausted, but found a little time in the afternoon to head to the park and enjoy the mid 60's weather.
Here are a few of the pictures I captured along the way.
Valentine Treats

Sophia made a great cashier at the grocery store in the museum.

This was a hit with the kids as they enjoyed loading up their own
groceries and playing with the cash register.

Chase and Sophia

Big Boys love trucks.
Chase loves them too, minus the noise they make.
As always, our parting this morning created some sadness and tears (especially from Kaidence) who is counting the days until she sees her cousins again. We are so grateful for the time we spent together. Memories are always in the making and we look forward to more adventures again when "River Valley Express" comes to town.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We love you Mendoza Family!

What a fun adventure for your families! Come heck or high water you girls find a way to get together. :)
That's right Teddy :)
Loved every minute of our time together. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks so much for the wonderful food and good times!
What fun that you guys find ways to get together so often. You two were never meant to live so far apart from each other.
I can't think of many things better than having family come and visit. How fun for your families!
