I admit it gets a little easier with your third child, when he or she meets landmark milestones, such as eating solids for the first time. I didn't get all stressed out and sentimental like I did with Kaidence and Chase. For example, with Kaidence, everthing was in place; the spoon, the bib, the camera. Even the technique of carefully putting it in her mouth had all been thoughtfully planned out right to the date and time the video camera was rolling. I'm so grateaful that phase has passed me and I'm a little more relaxed. Some things just don't always go as planned...yes, I'm finally starting to learn that. Motherhood is the best teacher of that lesson.
Yesterday, while I was doing some errands, my dear friend Kathryn was watching Sophi for me and when she started getting hungry she tried to call me to see if it was ok for her feed Sophi some carrots, but I was unable to answer my phone. So....I missed seeing her taste food for the first time but as a "seasoned mom" I took it in stride, happy that Sophia likes her veggies.
The next evening, Sophia sat with us at dinner, only this time she had her own seat in the high chair and a meal of rice cereal. I think she liked it, and this time, I sat back and enjoyed the moment while Jonathan caught a few pictures on the camera and Chase took care of the cheer leading yelling "Good job Sophi"! Kaidence had the privilege of serving Sophi a few spoonfuls...

I'm amazed she is reaching those milestones already! Time flies! I'm glad you are able to relax a little too. I have been pretty type A with all of Tom's stuff too, must be the whole first child thing.
I can't believe how grown up she's getting. Yea for first foods. It's so nice to be able to feed them along side you at the dinner table.
Sophi is starting to look a lot more like you now that she is thinning out! ha ha. They grow up so quickly. Give me a call so we can get together sometime soon :)
